Talking about massage lady, had my 1st prenatal massage 2 weeks ago. This Malay lady came highly recommended by a mom in SMF. And boy it hurts! But after massage, baby was kicking away the entire day! Maybe it's true that massage improves blood circulation and nutrients to baby. And I plan to continue my prenatal massages every mth till EDD. This lady is also v informative. She could explain how the body works during pregnancy, the benefits of massage during pregnancy and after birth and gave some tips on how to reduce water retention seeing that i'm badly affected by it. Apparently it's the cause for my constant breathlessness. My liver is not good enough to flush out water from my system ;( But i'm somehow comforted by the fact that water retention means easier to lose weight after birth.
Anyway this month is also the GSS and i've calculated, I prolly spent close to $1.5k for baby. We've bought a stroller and car seat at Baby Hyperstore at discounts..
( Bought a Maclaren Techno XLR 2010. It was going at a 20% discount and in case u're wondering, no we didn't buy bcoz of the brand name. We tried a few strollers and this was our fav coz I love the green soft quilted cover, it's tall enough for us giant parents, it has 2 handles instead of a bar one for easy maneuver and handling, it's lightweight yet sturdy and able to recline flat enough for newborn use till 4 yrs old. But i haf to admit, opening and closing the stroller needs a lil bit getting used to.)Then there was the Motherhood Expo. A friend had passed down her Medela breast pump, so I reckon buying Medela bottles that could fit into the pump and also for nursing would be best. Bought also sterilizer, nipple cream, nipple shields.. etc basically essentials.
And then the Robinsons sale, where i bought this super cute 3 mth old purple bridesmaid dress. Hoping baby could wear it for a good friend's wedding in December.
the unresistably cute denim mini skirts and baby jeans from FOX..
And of course, the World Cup fever has left us a lil insane too..

Now what's left to buy is a cot and bedding.
