Yesterday (2/6/16) marked the 18th week into this pregnancy. What a tough journey it has been! But Alhamdullilah baby seems to be growing well (tummy measured.17w 5d) despite me not feeling any movements for the past 2 weeks. It was really worrying. I have scary thots of how i might have overdosed on the meds and accidentally kill my baby. And watssup with the smaller tummy? I woke up 1 morning freaking out coz suddenly my tummy was FLAT! But deep in my heart, I knew baby was ok. I kept comforting myself to tawakal. By God's will this baby will be born fine Insyallah.
Well in fact baby was hyperactive as usual. Was having my kidney scan yesterday when the sonographer decided to check for baby's heartbeat as well. As she was probing my tummy, she let out a little giggle. Then she turned the screen towards me and said, "look at what your baby is doing!"
It looked like the baby was lying down on a trampoline and had his/her entire body bobbing up and down. I was like.. what are u doing? But it was such a clear scan! I saw the heartbeat, the entire body, head, arms and even outline of the fingers.
Can't wait for the detailed scan in 2 weeks' time. Hopefully we can tell the gender. And decide on a name :)
